Garnet red in colour with vermillion highlights, winey and spicy with hints of ripe berries. Justly tannic and dry on the palate.
Why we like it
Our Chianti Riserva is produced from selected Sangiovese grapes that undergo a light draining, followed by a maceration with the foot of starter culture for about 10 days at a controlled temperature in 30hl wooden fermenters. This is followed by ageing for 12-18 months in tonneaux and large casks.
Perfect with typical Tuscan dishes such as Florentine steak and stews. Excellent with mature cheese.
